There were some interesting painted faces on the autumn/winter 2011/12
catwalk. At Louise Gray, make-up artist James O’Riley created a
multicoloured dotted face. Inspired by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, spots
were drawn onto different areas of the faces.
A progression from natural ombré and dip-dye colouring, we’ve are now
seeing a move toward rainbow colouring and multi-tonal shades
The blue and fuchsia rainbow combination has been seen at both Mandy Coon
and Jeremy Scott autumn/winter 2011/12 shows and on Lauren Conrad
Some looks can edge on punk and grunge by using texture as seen on Laura
Steele, Cher Lloyd, at Mandy Coon and on Mia Wasikowska in W's Poor Little
